An online STEM and reasoning Olympiad for students in Classes 1–12. We care less about what a child has memorised, and more about what they can work out.

Answers are cheap now. Knowing how to reach one is not.

A computer can explain almost anything. What it can't do for a child is sit with an unfamiliar problem and not give up. We built this Olympiad to give that skill somewhere to show.

Remembering an answer

  • Recalling information you were taught.
  • Repeating a method you already know.
  • Spotting a pattern you have seen before.

Working one out

  • Questioning what the problem assumes.
  • Joining ideas that were never introduced together.
  • Trying a route, failing, trying another.
  • Explaining why the answer holds.

Both matter. School builds the first. This Olympiad is for the second.

Four ways of looking at a problem.

Mathematical reasoning

See the pattern, understand the relationship, find the way forward.

3, 7, 15, 31, ?

Scientific thinking

Observe, question, test, and work out why things happen.

Why does ice float?

Logical problem-solving

Break a big problem into small ones. Notice the connection others miss.

If A then B. Not B.

Computational thinking

Think in steps, find the repeating part, design a solution.

repeat 4: move, turn

One framework, four lenses. A single question often needs more than one.

One platform, three levels of thinking.

A Class 2 child and a Class 11 student should not meet the same paper. Each group gets its own.

Foundation

Noticing and comparing

Sorting, spotting, and playing with ideas.

1–4
Developing

Reasoning in chains

Building an argument one step at a time, then testing it.

5–8
Advanced

Unfamiliar problems

Questions that reward depth over recall.

9–12
  • Age-appropriate questions
  • Conceptual understanding
  • Gradual growth in reasoning

Show how you think.

Discover

Find the Olympiad for your class and look at the four subject areas.

Participate

Take part online and solve problems designed to test understanding, not recall.

Learn and stand out

See how you did and where you can grow next.

Exam duration, number of questions, scoring, certificates, result dates and stages: to be confirmed

Give curiosity a place to go.

  • More chances to solve problems a child has not seen before.
  • Exposure to mathematical and scientific thinking.
  • Recognition that goes beyond marks.
  • Challenges set for your child's age.
  • A clearer view of strengths and what to work on.

This is meant to sit alongside school, not replace it.

We ask only for a parent or guardian's name and contact, the student's class, and a city or school. Registration needs a guardian's consent. Read the privacy notice.

Bring a different kind of challenge to your school.

An extra platform where students can show reasoning, problem-solving and STEM understanding, on top of everything your school already does.

Things people ask.

Your next big idea might start with one question.

Bring your curiosity. Push on what you think you know.
